General Council 2025

The 69^th General Council and Technical Board Joint Sessions, 30 – 31 August 2025, Prague, Czechia.

The first day of the very successful joint sessions took off with a Workshop for the Technical Committees.
The formal start of the Technical Board meeting was at 1:30 pm on Saturday, 30 August. 

The second day on Sunday, 31 August, the General Council meeting was held from 9:00 am to 5 pm.

Organs

General Council

The General Council is the supreme governing body. It comprises one or two delegates from each Member Organisation and holds yearly Sessions.

Secretariat

The Secretariat is the executive body headed by the Secretary-General. It carries out the decisions of the GC following the resolutions passed at Sessions.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board has to formulate proposals on the policy and strategy of IMEKO and is chaired by the Advisory President.

• This year’s General Council Sessions took place in Hamburg, Germany, at the Hotel Radisson Blu - Congressplatz 2 (next to the Conference Centre Hamburg (CCH)) the weekend before the XXIV IMEKO World Congress
