Newsletter June 2025

The June issue of the newsletter has been published now!

We are halfway into 2025, and IMEKO has picked up pace since the beginning of the year. Several new initiatives are getting into shape now, with the help of many volunteers. The various conferences are soon to occur, awaiting participants with excellent talks and keynote speeches, special sessions, and social programs. IMEKO is also preparing for the General Council Sessions to be held at the end of August. This issue presents the summary of the recent Presidential Board's Spring Meeting.

Dr Ravi Fernandes has received the honour of becoming a Fellow of the Combustion Institute. We are proud of him! In the new series, IMEKO Goes to Young Scientists, we report on the dreams and challenges of young metrologists in the Philippines. Meet Professor Pasquale Daponte, who has been with IMEKO for thirty-nine years. What an incredible journey, with several IMEKO milestones! IMEKO has recently partnered with the Confederation of European Environmental Engineering Societies, CEEES, which is now introducing itself.
